Copenhagen X
Copenhagen X is a dynamic urban and housing exhibition, which will show the
results and visions for the changes in the Danish capital over the next ten years.
The Capital of Denmark is facing vigorous expansion in the areas of housing,
infrastructure, commerce and culture. New urban quarters, residential areas, cultural
institutions, the Metro and transformation of the harbour areas will form the basis for
new forms of urban life.
Copenhagen X will be the workshop for scenarios and the exhibitor of ideas.
Copenhagen X will be a gathering of all participants in the transformation of Copenhagen.
Copenhagen X is a partnership between the foundation Foreningen Realdanmark, the
City of Copenhagen and the City of Frederiksberg.
The first Copenhagen X exhibition is open from 11 October to 19 December, Wed-Thu
10:00 to 18:00 and Fri-Sun 11:00 to 17:00. Exhibition address: Christian IVs

Copenhagen Charter
During the Danish EU Presidency from 1 July to 31 December 2002, the Ministry of
the Environment deals with the issue of the development of cities and regions in Europe
under the influences of globalisation. The Copenhagen Charter will be presented at the
conference. With the Copenhagen Charter the Spatial Planning Department aims at starting a
debate and hopes that future urban and regional development projects will embrace the
conference conclusions. The Copenhagen Charter will be distributed at the conference.
